How to recover deleted videos on iPhone
By Con, founder of Music Wide Selfie · Updated 22 October 2026
Short answerOpen Photos › Albums › Recently Deleted (under Utilities), select the video and tap Recover. Items stay there for about 30 days. After that, you’ll need a backup such as iCloud, a computer or another copy.
Recently Deleted
- Open Photos.
- Go to Albums, then Recently Deleted (under Utilities).
- Unlock with Face ID if asked.
- Select the video and tap Recover.
After 30 days
Items are permanently deleted. Check other places: a computer backup, a cloud drive, or anyone you sent it to.
Prevent it
Back up regularly. See our backup guide.
Questions
Can I recover a video that never saved?
If recording failed, there may be nothing to recover. That’s why checking a take saved matters.
