Short answerRecord a 5-second test, play it back with headphones, check which microphone was used, and make sure nothing covers the mic. Then do the real take.
  1. Close apps that might use the mic.
  2. Disconnect Bluetooth earbuds unless you mean to use them.
  3. Record 5 seconds, play it back.
  4. Then record for real.
